David worked for a small local firm until opening his own practice in 1989. Currently, David is the President and majority shareholder of Hamilton & Company, CPA's P.A. David has provided accounting, consulting and tax services to vast variety of businesses, as well as, establishing a large individual tax client base. David has also had the privilege of serving on several professional and civic boards. David lives in Wilmington and he is married to Robin Hamilton. They have three children: Ashley, Ashley and Brittany and one grandson, Austin and one granddaughter, Wynn.

John has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1995. He is a lifelong resident of Wilmington. He attended North Carolina State University where he received his Bachelor in Accounting in 1992. He started working with David Hamilton in 1995 preparing tax returns and general ledger accounting. John became a shareholder in 2007 with Hamilton & Company, CPA's P.A. where he concentrates his expertise in the areas of computerized accounting systems, small business accounting and taxation. He is a member of the AICPA, NCACPA and he is a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor. He enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, reading and staying up on current events.

Mary has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1997. She received her Bachelor in Accountancy from Walsh College of Accountancy in Troy, Michigan. She moved to North Carolina in 1996 where she began working with David Hamilton and focused her attention on small business accounting and tax preparation. Mary became a shareholder in 2005 when Hamilton & Company, CPA's P.A. was formed. She currently focuses her skill base on fiduciary accounting, trust and estate tax preparation along with individual income tax returns. She is a member of the AICPA and the NCACPA. Mary lives in Burgaw with her husband, David DeMoss along with their daughter (Cecilia) and 5 dwarf Pygmy goats (Dusty, Lucy, Mohawk, Jasper, Onyx) and 2 outdoor cats (Nappy and Scooter). She enjoys reading, water sports, baking and traveling.

Michelle brings over 20 years of experience with both small and large public CPA firms along with 15 years in the corporate sector. Michelle has worked with many aspects of the accounting world, including HR, payroll, general ledger work and financial statements. Her primary focus is monthly and interim accounting services as well as payroll compliance work. Michelle moved from Tennessee to be closer to the beach. Along with going to the beach and being outdoors, she enjoys spending time with her fur babies and reading.
